PROJECT OVERVIEW
Small roadway patching projects impact residents and businesses.
This project provided pavement and concrete restoration after a municipality had previously cut into the street for utility services or repairs. The patch work includes a seal coat treatment or mill and overlay of the impacted roadway. Some curbs were also repaired.
The contractor was responsible for construction notifications, and selected YPMO to design and distribute the information with a door hanger that describes the type of work to restore the area. The flyers are developed in English and Spanish, printed, and then given to the contractor for distribution.

THE CHALLENGE
Street repair projects impact parking.
This type of repair project is a fast turnaround for the contractor and YPMO. Notifying residents is critical, even when they have only a few days to prepare. This is especially important to allow residents to relocate vehicles that are parked on the street. YPMO gets a call from the contractor to print 1000 door hangers and then delivers them the same afternoon so the contractor can drop the hangers and let residents know about construction work to come shortly. YPMO responds quickly with notices so residents are informed and the short-term inconvenience is minimized.
