The Crack Seal Program is a street maintenance program to prevent cracks in the roadways from becoming any larger, and to hold the road together until a more extensive street maintenance treatment is scheduled. With this minor fix, the roads can last long enough to withstand additional wear and tear, without causing harm to vehicles or pedestrians who drive or walk over them.

For this project, YPMO was a sub-consultant to Sunland Asphalt for public information services under their construction contract. This project consisted of applying approximately 935,000 pounds of crack seal material and providing traffic control with off-duty police officers.
