NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT STREET TRANSPORTATION
ADA-COMPLIANT RAMPS | CURB RECONSTRUCTION | CONCRETE WORK
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Neighborhood Improvements is a disability-friendly project that involves concrete repairs and upgraded ramps in various neighborhoods across the City of Phoenix. This project ensures that ramps around the city are Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliant.
Wheel-chair bound and disabled citizen rely heavily on these concrete curbs and ramps to safely get on and off sidewalks. With the Neighborhood Improvements project, disabled citizens not only get new ramps in their communities, but also improved ramps that are already there.
YPMO was a subconsultant to Sunland Asphalt for public information services under their construction Job Order Contract. PI services included regular location schedule review, preparing and distributing construction door hangers, contact with area schools and businesses, and maintaining a project information hotline. The team coordinated parking and delivery logistics, business access, locating towed vehicles, and driveway clean-up. Other communication with residents, included additional street maintenance requests, concerns, and complaints.
