2013 – Sunland Asphalt – Town of Paradise Valley Master Seal Coat

YPMO had just started working with Sunland Asphalt & Construction, LLC providing PIO services on their street maintenance projects, which was a whole new vocabulary to hone our construction-side skills and understanding, when they asked us to assist on their Town of Paradise Valley sealcoating project. YPMO provided door hangers, maintained a construction hotline, and designed our first construction sign which was installed at either end of the project limits.

As Sunland’s crews distributed door hangers, the phone started to ring – and back in 2013, it was just Anne Thompson answering call after call! She assisted residents with the schedule for the rolling street closures for narrow streets, alternative parking, and collection and delivery truck logistics. Close coordination with the Sunland team was key to this project’s success. During this project, Anne established some of YPMO’s key principles for great customer service, including respond to callers’ messages within minutes, communicate succinctly the who/what/where/why to the contractor, and take the time to learn how to troubleshoot issues for people with ADA needs when the street cannot be used for a full day.

YPMO continues to work with Sunland on sealcoating projects all over Arizona and our customer service is better than ever with Angela Garcia and Jennie Clements!
