Your Project Marketing & Outreach, LLC (YPMO) is a public information and outreach firm in Phoenix, AZ specializing in municipal infrastructure improvement projects. We are seeking a marketing/public relations professional to join our team in producing our marketing collateral, maintaining our websites and social media, and assisting with proposal efforts. This position will also assist with project-related public information and outreach (PIO) responsibilities.


The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience in a professional services environment, and have AEC involvement and knowledge. A bachelor’s degree, preferably with course work in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, Advertising, Journalism, Communications, or related industry, and/or writing experience in a similar role in a professional services firm desired.  Intermediate proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and a basic understanding of database systems is required.

You should be able to demonstrate independent judgment, strong attention to detail, project management skills. This position requires excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, an ability to conceptualize and convey design ideas to our graphic designer, an ability to communicate effectively with a high level of professionalism to our clients and the public, and have exemplary teamwork skills.


  • Ability to multi-task marketing tasks, prioritize project-related work, and work independently as well as in team environments
  • Skilled in writing and developing project descriptions, resumes, and marketing collateral
  • Strong In-Design layout capabilities, creativity, skills and graphic sense
  • Strong copy proof reading capabilities (we print and mail 100,000+ public notices a year)
  • Strong verbal communications, listening, and problem solving with public inquiries


  • Serve as general project support, including community relations, public involvement and strategic communication and marketing services

  • Assist with public meeting and special event coordination and staffing

  • Assist with project-related research and stakeholder database development

  • Draft and proofread news releases, newsletter articles and other project materials as needed

  • Attend pre-proposal conferences and support the proposal efforts for RFQs, RFPs, Bids, and General SOQs

  • Organize lead tracking, utilize and manage database

  • Production of marketing collateral, including brochures and on-line Flipbooks

  • E-Blasts and Marketing Campaigns

  • Coordination of project photography

  • Update content on company and project websites

  • Assist with marketing campaign(s), including external newsletters and communication e-blasts

  • Manage social media engagement; including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter

  • Assist with conference and tradeshow planning and procuring giveaways

  • Other duties to support marketing and business development efforts, as assigned

  • Full-time office position, 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday, with willingness to travel and work extended hours for occasional public meetings (usually scheduled between 3pm to 7pm Tuesdays – Thursdays)


  • Intermediate proficiency Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Understanding of Social Media Applications, including planning and posting

  • Willing to learn website maintenance for updates and creating blog posts


This is an hourly position with compensation dependent upon work history and demonstrable skill set. YPMO offers a benefits package, including insurance (health, dental, vision, life) profit sharing, accrued PTO, 10 holidays, and we close our office for the year-end holiday week between Christmas and New Years.
