YPMO assisted TYLin with publishing a public survey and video editing and voiceover of the 3D simulation of the proposed downtown bikeway improvements.

Outreach in September 2023 included facilitating 10 smaller Teams meetings with downtown stakeholders, including property managers from hotels, the convention center, sport venues, and various City departments, in these meetings, the attendees were the first to watch the 3D simulation video and provided feedback to the project team.

A second public open house meeting was held in October 2023 to provide the results of the study. YPMO hosted an in-person meeting at the Phoenix Burton Barr Library, which was well attended by business owners and residents in the Study area. YPMO prepared exhibit boards and roll plots for attendees at the meeting to visualize and make notes on the proposed paths. Prior to the meeting, a detailed survey was created by the project team for interested parties to provide feedback on the proposed routes. This survey was translated in Spanish and published online by YPMO. To ensure meeting attendee’s feedback was quantified, we provided laptops and iPads with direct links to the survey and also provided paper surveys for participants to fill out. Overall, the survey gained 144 responses and were a valuable asset to the Study. After the meeting, YPMO prepared a meeting summary report which outlined engagement methods, overarching themes from public input on the proposed alternatives, questions, and concerns.
